doors & partition systems for nuclear environments doors & partition systems for nuclear environments

NucléAction, a European leader in doors & partition systems for nuclear environments, is developing know-how that responds to all the partitions needs of the main players in the nuclear sector.

Gamma radiation biological doors

The purpose of NucléAction gamma radiation biological doors in nuclear power plants, including EPRs (third-generation power stations), is to enable professionals to move about and work securely in the various buildings comprising the power plant’s nuclear island, without disrupting its operations, or during nuclear plant unit shutdowns.

They are fitted in the Olkiluoto EPR in Finland.

Biological doors can prevent the spread of the gamma radiation to be found in certain parts of the power plant, whether or not the reactor is in operation, due to technical characteristics that combine various thick materials.
