NucléAction, a European leader in doors & partition systems for nuclear environments, is developing know-how that responds to all the partitions needs of the main players in the nuclear sector.
NucléAction: unique skill and leadership in the field
of doors, closing systems and multifunctional partitions
The closing technologies for buildings housing a nuclear power source must fulfill multiple requirements for withstanding accidental or intentional assault: resistance to radiation, explosions, bomb attacks, airplane crashes, arson (fires), water (flooding, rapid rise in water levels), break-ins, bullets, etc.
The increasing requirements of nuclear power station operators have prompted NucléAction to develop innovative closing concepts and multifunctional specific partitions: our unique know-how, acknowledged in France and worldwide, particularly via our subsidiary Baumert, enables protective measures to be built up in response to different types of risks, because accidents never have just a single cause.
- NucléAction fire protection doors can be made watertight for the eventuality of an earthquake or as part of prevention studies for reassessing the maximum groundwater level (risk of natural flooding).
- They can also respond to the need to be airtight for atmosphere confinement, fulfill the need to withstand break-ins and withstand bullets and explosive blasts, whether they are accidental or intentional (terrorism).
- Biological (protection against gamma radiation) or neutron versions of all these models can be offered and fitted with special soundproofing capacity, for wide ranges of dimensions and opening principles (manual or automatic ones).
NucléAction multifunctional doors and closing systems fulfill the specific needs of all players in the nuclear sector: nuclear power plants in operation, CEA (French Atomic Energy Commission) sites, military ground, naval or naval aviation installations (the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle), industrial sites with a Seveso classification, or hospital buildings specializing in nuclear medicine.
